Job Title: Mechanic / Vehicle Technician
Location: Bedford
Salary: £30,000 £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role
We are recruiting for a skilled and customer-focused Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our clients site in Bedford . The role will involve general vehicle servicing and routine maintenance , with no heavy mechanical work required .
As this is a customer-facing position , you will be expected to communicate effectively with customers, provide honest advice, and upsell additional services or repairs where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine vehicle servicing and light repairs

Diagnose and resolve minor faults efficiently

Provide clear explanations of vehicle issues to customers

Upsell services and repairs in a professional and customer-focused way

Ensure all work meets high safety and quality standards

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanic or Vehicle Technician

Strong communication and customer service skills

Confidence in upselling and building customer trust

NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) desirable

Full UK Driving Licence preferred
