As an A Licence Mechanic, you'll perform aircraft maintenance tasks to ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently. You'll be part of a team that builds positive and constructive relationships, supports colleagues, and achieves team goals. You'll demonstrate a working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, perform aircraft skin repairs, and use maintenance documentation and computer‑based reporting systems.


Requirements

  • Hold a UK Part 66 A licence and authorisation or equivalent on company aircraft
  • Have operational experience in a line maintenance environment
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of aircraft and hand skills required to carry out tasks
  • Are customer‑focused and enjoy working in a fast‑paced, energetic environment
  • Demonstrate up‑to‑date knowledge of applicable airworthiness legislation
  • Ideally hold a time‑served apprenticeship and operational experience in a line maintenance environment
  • High degree of customer focus - both internal and external
  • Able to work effectively in a team at all levels of the organisation
  • Willingness to be flexible to meet deadlines and overcome operational problems
  • Demonstrate skills required to perform aircraft skin repairs
  • Ability to use aircraft maintenance documentation and computer‑based reporting and recording systems
  • Builds positive and constructive relationships with others, gets to know colleagues within their own team and supports them to ensure team goals are achieved
  • Looks at new challenges as an opportunity to learn, takes ownership for own development and is aware of their strengths and weaknesses, looks for feedback from others about own performance

Practicalities

This full‑time role will be based in Manchester and will be permanent nights, on a 4 on 4 off pattern.
