Salary: 41,833 - 50,359
1.0 FTE / 35 hours
Based at Falkirk Campus
Fixed-term until March 2026

• Teach Manufacturing Engineering for learners across SCQF levels 5 to 7 in a practical and experiential setting.
• Deliver predominantly workshop-based teaching with significant experience in manual Milling and turning.
• Deliver classroom sessions in related subjects such as materials, quality control and Health and Safety.
• Produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials and deliver teaching relative to the specialist areas of fabrication/welding.
• Deliver practical, experiential learning within engineering workshops, with some in-class delivery.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date.
• Demonstrate appropriate ICT skills and a solid knowledge of health and safety.
• Be prepared to work toward a professional teaching qualification, and Assessor and Verifier qualifications.
• Ideally hold a relevant Higher qualification or professional equivalent.

• Significant industrial experience in relevant engineering field/area; candidates with such experience will be considered even if they do not have prior teaching experience.
• Ideal candidate will have experience in manual Milling and turning and experience in related subjects.
• Teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
• Candidate should be prepared to work toward a professional teaching qualification and Assessor/Verifier qualifications.
• Appropriate ICT skills and good knowledge of health and safety.
• Ideally hold a relevant Higher qualification or professional equivalent.

The Department of STEM and Construction operates across all three Forth Valley campuses and there may be a requirement to work at our other campuses if required.
