Role Description

We are looking for full time HGV Mechanics, with positions available in our Glasgow, Coatbridge and Alloa sites. The HGV Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), ensuring their optimal performance. Daily tasks include equipment maintenance, equipment repair, troubleshooting, vehicle maintenance, and working on heavy equipment. The role requires adherence to safety standards and timely completion of service tasks to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure operational efficiency.


There are positions available in a variety of shift patterns both dayshift and nightshift (discussed further at interview).


Requirements

  • Time Served apprenticeship in Mechanical discipline.
  • Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance
  • Skills in Equipment Repair and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with HGV’s and Trailers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in automotive repair
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Driving License is essential
  • C + E License Desirable but not essential
