As part of ongoing growth within their Engineering Centre of Excellence, they’re seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their assembly team working on complex, high-performance armoured vehicle projects.
About the Role
The primary focus of this role is to support the final assembly process of armoured wheeled vehicles and sub-assemblies, working in accordance with strict engineering, safety, and quality standards. The role is based on day shifts, though some flexibility may be required depending on project demands.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out final assembly, installation, and inspection of heavy vehicle systems and components.
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
* Interpret engineering drawings and standard operating procedures.
* Use diagnostic software for system setup, testing, and fault-finding.
* Order parts and materials as required to complete work to specification.
* Complete documentation and attest work through the company MRP system (SAP).
