Job Description:

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for technical work and problem-solving to contribute to the smooth running of our operations.

Duties

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and diagnostic software.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering are preferred.
  • A valid driving licence is desirable for off-site repairs or equipment transportation.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to utilise their technical expertise within a dynamic organisation committed to safety and excellence in maintenance standards.
