In this role, the successful HGV Mechanic or similar will be responsible for the service and maintenance of both Class 1 and Class 2 Vehicles and more. On top of this, you will be responsible for doing Break Tests, MOT diagnostics and more, with additional breakdown repairs when required. Finally, you will be responsible for keeping accurate technical documentation of any projects worked.
The ideal HGV Mechanic or similar will have previous experience working on HGVs or large Diesel Engines. In addition, you will also hold an NVQ level 2 or above within Vehicle Maintenance. On top of this, you will have strong organisational and communicational skills, with the ability to work both as part of a team as well as autonomously.
The Role:
Service and maintenance of HGVs
Troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs of HGVs
MOT testing HGVs
The Person:
Holds an NVQ level 2 or above within Vehicle Maintenance
Previous experience working on HGVs
Strong organisational and communicational skills
