HGV Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-time HGV Technician to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing heavy goods vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in all aspects of vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of HGVs and trailers
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical issues
  • Carry out MOT preparations and assist with MOT testing procedures
  • Execute welding and fabrication tasks as required for vehicle repairs and modifications
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including time spent, parts used, and diagnostic results
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in HGV maintenance and repair

Ideal candidate:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent
  • 3 + years experience in a like for like role
  • Natural problem solver
  • able to work from your own initiative or as part of a team
  • Positive attitude
