Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting Tipper Wagons, 8 Wheelers & Artics. Class 1 Preferred as some driving will be expected Mond
Hours of Work - Monday to Friday 8am till 6pm & Saturdays 8am till 12 noon
Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety standards are adhered to during all operations.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as required.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
  • Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
    Skills
  • Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are desirable but not essential. This role offers an engaging environment for motivated individuals eager to maintain high standards of machinery performance while ensuring safety at all times.

    Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
