We are currently recruiting for a HGV Mechanic to join our transport division, located at our Heywood facility.


Shift Available:

Working 4 on 4 off Days 06:00-18:00.


Rate of Pay:

£18.61 per hour, plus a shift allowance of £40.00 per week.


The role

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
  • Maintain, repair and service units and trailers to MOT standards.
  • Make sure vehicle cleaning requirements are up to standard before MOT service.
  • Repairing defects.
  • General basic garage duties.
  • Dealing with breakdowns nationwide.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience with maintenance and MOT on HGVS.
  • Someone who holds a HGV Class 1 License.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical instrumentation and safety compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to multi‑task and prioritise workload.
