Don-Bur Bodies & Trailers are looking to recruit a skilled Heavy Goods Trailer Fitter / Mechanic to join our Service Division at our Boothen Old Road site in Stoke-on-Trent.


This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy and professional workshop environment maintaining and repairing a range of commercial vehicles and trailers. The position can also be site-based completing trailer servicing and running defected repairs, depending on the successful candidate's experience.


Key Responsibilities of the Heavy Goods Trailer Fitter / Mechanic

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing trailers
  • Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carrying out inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT
  • Supporting off site projects where required
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
  • Completing job sheets and maintaining accurate service records

Requirements of the Heavy Goods Trailer Fitter / Mechanic

  • Previous experience as a Heavy Goods Trailer Fitter / Mechanic / Technician
  • Good diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
  • Experience working with commercial vehicles or trailers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
