Heavy Equipment (Construction) Road Technician/Mechanic

Location: Winchester CIH, ON


Opportunity

Delta Power Equipment is seeking a Construction Equipment Road Technician/Mechanic to perform mobile mechanical repair and maintenance on construction and heavy equipment. You will represent Delta Power on the road, traveling to customer sites to provide expert service, repairs, and troubleshooting to keep their equipment running strong.


Summary of Position

  • Travel to customer job sites to diagnose defects and perform repairs on construction and heavy equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, cooling, and lubrication systems.
  • Install and align engines, transmissions, and drive‑trains.
  • Install new and added‑on equipment.
  • Repair or adjust hydraulic pumps, safety valves and any other necessary mechanical components.
  • Repair cooling and lubrication systems.
  • Repair mechanical transmissions, drive‑trains and final drives.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and field inspections.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and reliability.
  • Complete accurate work orders, service reports, and documentation while on the road.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate repair needs clearly.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of equipment technology and repair techniques.
  • Follow all workplace and site‑specific safety policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Support shop‑based work when required.

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician license (421A) or Agricultural Equipment Technician license preferred.
  • Experience as a construction or heavy equipment technician.
  • Strong knowledge of construction equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently in the field as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Valid G driver’s licence with a clean abstract (DZ or AZ licence an asset).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
  • Use of Safety equipment will be required (example PPE, steel‑toed boots, safety glasses, etc.).
