Graduate Design Engineer – Shipbuilding Projects


Location: Glasgow or Derby | Employment Type: Full-Time | Level: Entry

Belcan is seeking ambitious and technically minded graduates to join our engineering team, supporting shipbuilding projects across a range of disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your engineering career in a dynamic, delivery-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities:

·Assist in the design and delivery of engineering solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.

·Communicate technical information clearly to internal teams and customer stakeholders.

·Contribute to project delivery within agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.

·Support adherence to Belcan’s Quality Management System and safety practices.


What We’re Looking For:

·Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Aided Design, Aerospace Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Aeronautical Engineering or similar.

·Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

·Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly.

·Awareness of health, safety, and environmental considerations in engineering design.
