Role Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer in Worcestershire or Birmingham to join our growing team, helping us to make a positive difference to the communities we work in. You’ll carry out servicing, maintenance and small works on fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems in the Worcestershire & Birmingham area, with a strong focus on building trusted relationships and delivering excellent customer service.

This is a mobile role supported by structured scheduling, reliable backup and a company that values professionalism and getting the job done right. You’ll be part of a respected, well organised team, with the opportunity to grow and develop your career.

    Who We’re Looking For

    You’ll need:

  • Experience working with addressable and conventional fire alarms.

  • Experience of working with intruder alarms, CCTV and access control

  • A proactive, reliable approach with strong fault finding skills

  • Good documentation and communication skills

  • A valid UK driving licence

  • The legal right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)

    Desirable:

  • Industry recognised fire and security qualifications (i.e., FIA, City & Guilds etc)

  • 18th Edition or similar electrical qualification

  • Understanding of IP, networking and IoT devices

    Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and carry out small works on fire and security systems

  • Diagnose and rectify faults

  • Respond to call outs promptly and efficiently

  • Provide technical support and complete accurate site documentation

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety

  • Represent Severnside as our frontline contact, delivering excellent customer service

  • Work collaboratively with Service Team Coordinators

  • Participate in the out of hours call out rota
