Are you a skilled mechanic or engineer looking for a role that offers variety, independence, and career progression? Were hiring Field Service Engineers to service and maintain municipal, plant, industrial & specialist vehicles such as HGV's, sweepers, Tankers, Grabs, RCVs, Tippers and forklifts.
About this Role
Every day, communities and businesses rely on essential equipment to keep things running smoothly. As a Field Service Engineer , youll be out in the field, making sure our environmental, municipal, civil, and utilities assets stay in top condition. From urgent breakdowns to scheduled maintenance, youll play a vital role in keeping our clients operational.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain DGEMC-owned assets, including specialist utilities equipment (Road Sweepers, Tankers, Grabs, RCVs, Tippers & Specialist Vehicles/Equipment)
Respond swiftly to service calls, ensuring downtime is minimised
Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
Maintain accurate electronic work records via PDA
Carry out PMI inspections and complete reports
Manage your own time and stock levels efficiently
About You
Were looking for a hands-on technician with a problem-solving mindset. If you love working independently and thrive in a dynamic, on-the-go role, this is for you!
Level 2 mechanical or engineering qualification (or equivalent)
Full, valid UK driving licence
Strong experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Confident diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and electrical faults
Competent in the use of diagnostic equipment
Class 2 HGV licence desirable but not essential
Great communicator and able to prioritise workload
