We are currently seeking Mechanical or Electrical Technicians to join our Facilities Department at our cutting‑edge Springtown site in Derry/Londonderry Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive mechanical / electrical technician to contribute to a high‑tech, fast‑paced environment where innovation and precision are key.


Reporting to the Facilities Technician Manager, this position gives the opportunity to work on facilities infrastructure that supports state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor equipment and provides an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a company that is positioned at the heart of the rapidly growing worldwide storage industry.


About the role – you will:

The role will have the responsibility of maintaining a safe working environment, providing immediate response and efficient resolutions to down‑time situations.


You will:



  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment and systems.
  • Monitor plant operations to ensure compliance with critical process parameters.
  • Diagnose and repair unplanned plant equipment failures.
  • Maximize the availability of plant services and equipment.
  • Support engineering projects to improve systems capability and reliability, including annual factory shutdowns.
  • Accurately record work details in maintenance software and update the Facilities Technician Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with and supervise contractors and service providers.
  • Remain flexible for shift changes or additional duties as required by business needs.
  • Actively participate in company business continuous improvement initiatives.

About you:

  • You will bring a strong technical profile with demonstrated relevant 3 years’ experience in O&M, fault‑finding and diagnosis – we are flexible about the industry experience you bring.
  • Minimum Level 3 (NVQ, City & Guilds etc.) Professional qualification or time served in electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • You will have strong communication and team working skills.
  • You will have strong work ethic and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Your experience includes:

  • Industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience with HVAC, Chillers, HV distribution, Instrumentation & Controls.
  • Trend Control Systems (BMS).

This role does not meet the criteria set by the Home Office for sponsorship on a Skilled Worker Visa and as such sponsorship of this visa cannot be offered.

Work Shifts: 12‑hour onsite shifts that include days and nights. (Working shift include: - 4 days on 4 days off, 2 days on 2 days off, 3 days on 3 days off, 2 days on 2 days off). The Rota will then repeat.


This is a Full‑Time position working 42 hours per week, on‑site working.


Testing may be used as part of the selection process.
