Embedded Engineering Manager – IoT Systems (Sensing)
Location: Austin, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $200,000 - $240,000 + Healthcare Plan + Stock Options

Their products integrate hardware, firmware, and wireless connectivity to deliver intelligent, reliable, and scalable solutions across diverse markets.


You’ll lead a skilled team of firmware and hardware engineers, shaping the architecture of next‑generation connected devices from concept to launch. One week you might be guiding wireless stack integration, the next you’re hands‑on with a prototype in the lab, validating hardware and measuring RF performance.


You will oversee the design, development, and integration of their entire embedded technology stack; from early prototypes through production, while fostering technical excellence and team growth.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Embedded hardware / firmware design, including wireless communication systems
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams (8-10 individuals)
  • Strong understanding of Microcontroller architectures and embedded C/C++
  • Understanding of hardware design principles (Schema / PCB Layout / Power Management)
  • Wireless protocol knowledge (BLE / Wi‑Fi / Zigbee, LoRa, etc)
  • Experience with Prototype Development, hardware bring‑up and debugging
