A well-established manufacturer of cutting-edge devices that are used in over 70 countries are currently looking for an Electronics Technician. Reporting to the Production Manager, as the Electronic Technician you will be assembling PCB's through SMD soldering, working with hot hair pencils, rework tools and various testing equipment such as bench power supplies, multi-meters and oscilloscopes.

What you will be doing?

Service Inspection and Testing (40%)Carryout inspection and repair on customer returned instruments

Read and interpret schematics, and technical drawings

Conduct performance and quality tests using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools

Identify faulty components and carry out repairs or replacements where required - Use of solder iron

Production Inspection and Testing (40%)The repair of defective/non-conforming PCB's and manufactured instruments

Design and implement test fixtures to further improve the efficiency of the build processes

Quality Leadership and Strategic Development (10%)Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Identify improvements in product assembly and support the implementation of test jigs

System Support (5%)
Documentation Management (3%)
Equipment Maintenance and Calibration (2%)

What you need?

Experience as an Electronic Technician, Production Technician, Service Technician or similar
Experience with Soldering irons, multi-meters, test jigs, general hand tools, CNC machine engraver, pedestal drill would be beneficial
BTEC National certificate in Electronics or equivalent
HNC in Electronics (Desirable but not essential)
