Role and Location

We are currently looking to recruit to our Combined Child Health Physiotherapy team. This post will be based at the North Child Development Team at Bucksburn Academy in Aberdeen.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the physiotherapists by undertaking specific skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of paediatric patients, including implementing patient treatment programmes according to treatment protocols prescribed by the physiotherapist and monitoring patient progression.
  • Carry out non-clinical duties including monitoring, replenishment and ordering of stock/medical supplies; clerical responsibilities such as booking appointments, sending out routine letters and data entry. Word processing skills and adaptability in learning new software are an advantage.
  • Support will be offered through training and through direct supervision by physiotherapists while working within a multi-disciplinary team.

Person specification / Qualifications

  • Energetic and enthusiastic; ideally with previous experience of working with children in a care, education or health setting.
  • Knowledge of GIRFEC and a commitment to putting children’s wellbeing at the centre of the work.

Additional information for candidates

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay is not affected.
