We're also transforming the UK's energy landscape by partnering with landowners and developers to build a 900MW portfolio of new grid-scale solar farms and battery storage assets. Combined Heat and Power Engineer - Centrica CBS (Mechanical Technician) Salary: £38,589 + London allowance (£4160 - £ 6240 depending on location) + bonus, on-call payments & excellent benefits OTE: Over £50,000 Location & Travel: North London / Cambridge / Chelmsford / Luton / Watford Travel: Our team typically works north of the River Thames, with jobs reaching as far as Cromer and Peterborough. What your day might look like:Receive your jobs via email each morningAttend services, breakdowns, part replacement or engine rebuilds.Manage your own diary, including oil store drops, collections, and part pickups from your designated collection boxOperate, monitor, and maintain utilities including HVAC, WFI, purified water, and process equipmentTroubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems in line with SOPs and safety policiesMaintain and secure spare parts inventory and recommend tools/equipment to improve efficiencySupport engineers in developing methods to improve facilities processes? Key Skills & ExperienceAs a multi-skilled service engineer working on our world-leading CHP plants, you'll be:Self-motivated with a strong eye for detailComfortable working independently or as part of a teamSkilled in customer/client communicationAmbitious and eager to progress your careerThis opportunity would also be suitable for someone with a qualification in Vehicle or Engine Mechanics who is looking to transition into a new and exciting career path.? Minimum Requirements:Mechanical craft qualification or higher (C&G, NVQ, ONC, HNC)Experience in field service roles on reciprocating engines or generatorsAbility to strip and repair engines to component levelKnowledge of rotating equipmentStrong problem-solving abilityGood IT skillsStrong health & safety awarenessExcellent housekeeping standardsFull UK drivers licence (no more than 6 points)?
