Were looking for a proactive and skilled Bus Engineering Technician to join our friendly team at Stagecoach Porth. Whether youre from a truck, HGV, automotive, plant, or rail background, this is your opportunity to work on a modern and varied fleet, including hybrid and electric vehicles, supported by ongoing training as technology and vehicle systems continue to evolve.
What youll be doing:
Maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses to DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards
Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic equipment including laptop
Completing the full range of mechanical repairs including major unit changes and engine repairs and overhauls,
Carrying out routine inspections, servicing, and roadside repairs
Supporting apprentices by sharing your knowledge and experience
Working safely and efficiently as part of a collaborative depot team
What were looking for:
NVQ Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance, or equivalent
Hands-on experience working on commercial or specialist vehicles
Experience and competence in using modern diagnostic equipment
Electrical/electronic

competence at a basic level
A safety-first attitude and strong attention to detail
A team player with good communication skills
Previous experience working on buses or large passenger vehicles (desirable)
