Overview

This is the sole physiotherapy role within our service, giving you the chance to shape and lead the development of our physiotherapy provision. You’ll be fully supported by our leadership team and benefit from expert external clinical supervision, ensuring you feel confident and connected in your role. You’ll be part of a well-established multidisciplinary team across two specialist colleges for young adults with learning disabilities (ages 19–25), located in Bexley and Lambeth. The therapy team is deeply embedded in both settings, with strong relationships across staff and leadership, and a collaborative culture that supports innovation and creativity. Caseloads are small and manageable, enabling you to deliver high-quality, flexible physiotherapy tailored to the needs of each college.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of physiotherapy provision within the service in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Deliver high-quality, flexible physiotherapy support to two specialist colleges for young adults with learning disabilities (ages 19–25).
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and innovation across staff and leadership.
  • Manage a small and manageable caseload to ensure personalised intervention planning for each learner.
Qualifications
  • BSc (Physiotherapy) degree
  • HCPC and CSP registered Physiotherapist with appropriate indemnity insurance in place
  • Evidence of ongoing postgraduate training (CPD portfolio), up to a Master’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in physiotherapy; evidence of organisational and supervisory experience
  • Experience of working in education settings; experience with clients with severe learning disability and complex medical needs
  • Experience of working with children and young people with physical and complex neurological conditions and co-morbidities
