Overview

Band 6 Physiotherapist – Secure Services – Bristol. Substantive Part-Time opportunity available 18.75 hours per week. An opportunity has arisen to join our large and enthusiastic therapy team here in Secure Services. Wickham unit is a 31-bedded low secure service, providing recovery-focussed care. Fromeside is a regional medium secure unit, which provides a service to 81 in-patient service users with mental health needs. Within the role, you will work closely with colleagues from the multi-disciplinary team to provide a direct clinical service to in-patients with mental health needs in either of our low or medium secure units.

Working as a key part of the multi-disciplinary team, you will routinely undertake specialist physiotherapy assessments, planning, implementing and reviewing appropriate interventions and treatment methods. As a Band 6 physiotherapist you will be providing physiotherapy interventions across wards at Fromeside and Wickham.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist physiotherapy assessments, planning, implementing and reviewing interventions for in-patients in low or medium secure units.
  • Deliver physiotherapy interventions across wards at Fromeside and Wickham.
  • Manage a small team of Exercise Specialists, providing supervision, leading team meetings and overseeing referrals for exercise.
  • Provide clinical leadership to ensure a high-quality physiotherapy service.
  • Contribute to a comprehensive induction package and CPD training opportunities.
  • Engage in monthly clinical supervision, monthly management supervision and reflective practice with the wider team.

On joining the therapies team, you will receive a comprehensive structured induction package, with in-house CPD opportunities or support for additional training to expand your skillset. Regular supervision is valued and provided.
