An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 WTE clinicians to join our innovative and friendly team of musculoskeletal physiotherapists at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. We are seeking forward-thinking, motivated individuals looking to develop their skills and abilities within a supportive and positive environment. The working patterns include compressed hours.


The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of Physiotherapist with a commitment to high quality patient care. We pride ourselves on the learning and development opportunities offered to our staff with high standards of teaching and regular supervision.


Therapy Services hold a high profile within the Royal Free London NHS Trust. We work collaboratively with the Orthopaedic, Pain and Rheumatology departments and are involved with numerous Quality Improvement and clinical practice group projects for the Trust. Our multidisciplinary Therapy Services department is committed to development and offers a wide range of in-house and external training. We have links with local universities and provide opportunities for post-graduate teaching.

The working days and shift pattern are fixed, and successful candidates will be required to adhere to this schedule.


All staff are expected to work across multiple sites. In the event of service changes, your work location may be altered, but your agreed shift dates and times will remain consistent.

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree/Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
  • Certificated graduate courses or equivalent in-house training in clinical specialty and management responsibilities taught by experts in their area
  • Commitment to advanced clinical and professional development
  • Member of CSP

Experience

  • Comprehensive post registration experience with experience in musculoskeletal services
  • Understanding and application of the PT process with evidence of clinical reasoning and clinical problem solving
  • Evidence of CPD in the form of a professional portfolio detailing post - graduate structured, supervised in -service training received/attended, reflective practice
  • Teaching/education of colleagues/ multidisciplinary team and/or public/carers
  • Team working and ability to work as part of a team
  • Evidence of presentation of own research /project/audit work which informed departmental development
  • Thorough understanding of setting & maintaining clinical standards & clinical audit
  • Evidence of contribution to change within the workplace
  • Understanding of role of therapy within current evolving health environment
  • Currently working at B6 level in outpatient MSK department
  • Supervision of more junior staff/TSWs and/or student
  • Broad experience on a rotational scheme
  • Evidence of involvement in research/audit
  • Independently manage groups

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of current physiotherapy in MSK area
  • Awareness of evidence based practice
  • Understanding of legal responsibilities of the profession eg confidentiality, consent etc
  • Understanding of clinical governance and its implications for services.

£44,485 to £52,521 a yearper annum inclusive of HCAS
