Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment are currently with a well-known company in the aviation industry that is currently seeking to recruit an Aircraft Fitter/ Mechanic

The unlicensed Aircraft Engineer plays a pivotal role in performing aircraft maintenance tasks in strict adherence to Technical Documentation & Company Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks under the guidance of Hangar Foreman, SLE or LE, collaborating with other team members to ensure safe and effective working practices.
  • Efficiently move heavy equipment, tooling, and spares on-site, utilizing equipment such as forklifts (training provided).
  • Support aircraft cleaning activities and maintain a clean working environment around the aircraft and facilities.
  • Service aircraft toilets during maintenance activities.
  • Manage fuel and oil spillages in a controlled manner.
  • Assist with aircraft manoeuvring requirements.
  • Ensure proper waste separation and recycling.
  • Charge scissor lifts at the end of the shift and performs necessary battery servicing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and fluid levels of AAGDS vehicles.
  • Address and report safety concerns promptly.
  • Keep equipment in a serviceable, clean, and safe condition, reporting faults immediately.
  • Fulfill additional team responsibilities and reasonable requests from Hangar Foreman, SLE, LE, or Hangar Management Team.
  • Recommend safety and efficiency improvements to the SLE.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous aircraft experience (or experience in a comparable trade or industry).
  • Previous experience working at an operational aerodrome
  • Package & Perks of an Fitter (Day Shift):
  • Competitive starting salary.
  • Shift patterns are 7am to 7pm (on days) with a rotation 5 on-5 off, 4 on-5 off and 5 on-4 off.
  • Benefits include 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (after 2 years’ service, an extra day is added every year to a maximum of 25 days)

  • Company sick pay after probation
