Software Engineer

Hampshire / Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite

£60,000 - 65,000 per annum

The Opportunity

Help deliver cutting-edge software solutions. You'll work on complex, real-world challenges using modern technologies like machine learning, edge computing, and DevOps automation to accelerate capability deployment.

The Role

You'll contribute to the development, release, and support of operational systems, with opportunities to expand into sensors and robotics. This is a collaborative role requiring strong technical expertise and effective communication across teams.

What You'll Bring

Degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience

Experience with some of the following:

Languages: Python, Java, Rust, JavaScript

Cloud: AWS (Azure/GCP beneficial)

Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, GPU containerisation

Architecture: Microservices, serverless, APIs, edge compute, pub/sub systems (Kafka, MQTT)

DevSecOps: Git, CI/CD, Terraform/Ansible, Linux scripting

Proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or in teams

Key Responsibilities

Deliver software with product owners and engineering teams

Contribute to Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)

Ensure quality through testing and code reviews

Support and troubleshoot live systems
