Job Title: Senior Embedded Systems Engineer
Location: Vauxhall, London (Hybrid Working: 3-Days Per Week On-Site)
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 + Bonus & Benefits (Depending on Experience)

Overview:
Zenovo are supporting their client in Vauxhall, London with an exciting opportunity for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a growing technology business developing connected sensor products for global customers.
This role offers the opportunity to work across embedded software, support with hardware bring-up, electronics debugging, sensor integration, production testing, and diagnostics.
A successful candidate will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from early prototypes and next-generation sensing technology through to production.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop embedded C/C++ software for systems, using bare-metal and RTOS environments such as Zephyr.
Support next-generation hardware development, including prototyping, board bring-up, validation and productionisation.
Debug complex issues across firmware, electronics, Bluetooth, sensors, power systems and manufacturing test equipment.
Develop production firmware, test fixtures, automated test systems, calibration processes and diagnostic tools.
Work with manufacturing partners to improve product reliability, production yield and fault-finding capabilities.
Collaborate with hardware, software, data science, app and product teams across the full product lifecycle.
Support with mentoring engineers and help improve engineering standards across design, testing, documentation and debugging. Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years’ experience in embedded systems, firmware or hardware product development.
Strong embedded C/C++ experience on resource-constrained devices, with solid bare-metal and RTOS knowledge (Zephyr is desirable).
Proven track record taking embedded products from prototype through to production
Strong hardware debugging and fault-finding skills, using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, debuggers and RF/Bluetooth tools.
Confident reading electronic schematics and troubleshooting sensors, power systems and board-level issues.
Strong understanding of the hardware/firmware boundary, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex cross-domain issues.
Practical engineering judgement, with a focus on reliability, testability and robust development processes.
Hands-on, detail-oriented engineer who can work independently and take ownership in a small-team environment. Desirable Experience (Not Essential):
Experience with Nordic nRF microcontrollers and BLE.
Experience diagnosing BLE connectivity and reliability issues.
Experience with IMUs, sensor fusion and real-time signal processing.
Experience with automated production testing.
Experience with developing high-volume consumer electronics
