Your Role

As our Group Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and efficiency of mechanical systems across our property portfolio. From plant rooms to plumbing systems, your work will be critical to maintaining the high standards our tenants and clients expect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose faults using precision instruments and hands-on inspection.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns and report to the Head of Department.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all works carried out.
  • Support procurement and stock management of parts and supplies.
  • Ensure a clean, safe working environment at all times.

What You’ll Bring

  • Qualifications: BSc/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, BTEC Level 3 or higher in Maintenance Engineering, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in plumbing.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role, with hands-on experience in boilers, plumbing, HVAC, and plant room systems.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
    • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
    • Familiarity with maintenance software.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 (DOE)
