Mechancial Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer role at bespoke machinery manufacturer seeking enthusiastic engineers for further development. Innovative company delivering engineered solutions to customers UK based and globally.

• Reporting into design lead working on segments of large mechanical designs for automated special purpose machinery.
• Daily problem solving and dealing with design issues.
• Undertaking and ensuring mechanical and material calculations.
• Producing 2D and 3D drawings in Inventor.
• Ensuring specifications and quality standards.
• Producing and ensuring quality of all mechanical BOMs.
• Working in conjunction with electrical and software teams to achieve excellent system integration.
• Creation of parts, assembly, and identification drawings.
• Supporting shop floor with build problems.

• Passionate about mechanical design, practical with excellent problem solving abilities.
• Confident user of 3D Auto Desk Inventor with Vault experience.
• Knowledge of system integration.
• Previous design experience in sheet metal, welding, fabrication and large industrial machinery design.
• Confident knowledge of design for manufacture.
• Own transport essential due to location.

• 25 days holiday plus BH's (close over Xmas).
• 4% pension, rising to 6% employer after 12 months.
