About the role

As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor you will use your clinical expertise to assess how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life. You will work on complex cases involving chronic pain, neurological, physical and mental health conditions, and help customers move forward with their lives.


Work Hours: Monday to Friday – 09:00 – 17:00 (Hybrid)


Salary: £41,500 per annum


Duties and responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life
  • Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports that help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine eligibility for benefits
  • Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback, supervision, and mentorship

Requirements

  • Valid HCPC registration number
  • At least 1 year of broad post‑registration experience within or outside the NHS
  • You must have the right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not offered
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
