Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per year. Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer.

We are seeking a talented and energetic Architect? No, this role is a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will design mechanical-HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems within the DMC methodology.

Responsibilities
  • Design, detail, and support the installation of facility mechanical-HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems based on client requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients and project partners to understand objectives, operational criteria, and design goals.
  • Develop integrated designs within a multidisciplinary team, optimized for Design for Manufacturing and Construction (DfMA) methods.
  • Analyze systems for optimal performance, including equipment sizing and selection, distribution layouts, control sequences, and energy performance.
  • Evaluate feasibility and cost of implementing new systems.
  • Review drawings and specifications for code compliance and quality standards.
  • Assist in managing design activities to meet project schedules.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and construction teams to enhance quality and process efficiency.
  • Support construction teams during troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning to ensure proper system operation at handover.
  • Coordinate design team efforts throughout all project phases.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical-HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and plumbing design codes and standards (e.g., IMC, IPC, NFPA 99, FGI, ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Reliable, organized, and deadline-driven.
  • Passion for innovation and interest in transforming the construction industry.
  • Experience in healthcare facility design.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and CADMEP, with familiarity in VDC workflows.
  • Experience using mechanical system analysis software (e.g., Carrier HAP, Trane Trace).
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing junior engineers and modeling/detailing teams.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems, especially solar photovoltaic (PV).
