In this role, you'll set up and integrate Industrial IoT devices, ensure connectivity, configure software, and support data communication. You'll participate in all phases of the Industrial IoT solution lifecycle – including implementation, testing, and security. You’ll also work with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Our contributions directly advance key business priorities.# What you will deliver: Research industrial IoT solutions and vendors – test and document capabilities. Create implementation package detailing end-to-end solution. Create design in accordance with bp networks guidance. Integrate Industrial IoT systems with existing networks, cloud platforms (like Azure, AWS), and other infrastructure. Ensure reliable device network connections using protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, and OPC-UA. Set up and configure device applications ensuring the software is correctly deployed, functional and meets end user needs.* Ensure seamless and efficient flow of data from devices to the cloud for analysis and decision intelligence.* Deploy or lead/guide deployment of physical devices, sensors, and gateways to a customer's site or production environment.* Conduct end-to-end testing, debugging issues, and ensure the system meets security, performance, and reliability standards before and after deployment.* Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to customers after the system is deployed.* Write and maintain documentation for product operating and testing procedures.* Generate and implement ideas for improving deployment processes and system performance.# What you will need to be successful:* Degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or software engineering or equivalent experience.* Background in condition-based monitoring solutions.* Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, or Java for embedded systems and data logic.* Strong Understanding of networking, security, and Linux-based systems* Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS IoT, IoT Greengrass, and other related services.* Excellent communication skills, able to explain and advocate goals/objective, team-oriented mentality with a highly developed collaborative leadership style.* Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry is desirable.At bp, we support our people to grow in a diverse and exciting environment.
