Company Overview

Our client is a long-established specialist within the design and build smart building technology sector, delivering complex, high-value projects across commercial environments in Central London. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and innovation, they operate across integrated systems including ICT networks, AV, security, IoT and smart infrastructure.

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Design & Build division and take ownership of major London-based projects.

Role Overview

This is a senior, client-facing delivery role with full responsibility for managing projects from bid stage through to handover. You will provide leadership across all stages of the project lifecycle, with accountability for programme, commercial performance, quality, and client satisfaction.

The role is suited to a commercially astute Senior Project Manager with a strong background in design & build and technology-led construction projects, comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex design & build projects across London Zones 1–2
• Manage the full project lifecycle including pre-construction, design development, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover
• Hold full P&L responsibility, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Develop and manage project programmes, procurement schedules and cash flow forecasts
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and technical specialists across multiple disciplines
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory regulations and Health & Safety standards
• Oversee project documentation, quality assurance, O&M manuals and handover packs
• Report on financial and operational performance at senior management level

Requirements

• Proven experience operating at Senior Project Manager level
• Strong background in design & build or smart building technology projects
• Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and financial reporting
• Confident client-facing communicator with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM or equivalent)
• SMSTS, ECS Card and Full UK Driving Licence
