The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Building Services Engineer to join the growing team. This position offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to a range of mechanical and electrical design projects, from concept through to completion, while providing mentorship and line management support to junior engineers.


The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with project leadership and communication skills, ensuring designs are compliant, coordinated, and delivered efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining quality, supporting sustainable design practices, and helping the business to grow through professional relationships and technical excellence.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced building services engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys taking ownership of complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.


Candidate Profile
Essential

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Chartered or working towards professional accreditation (ACIBSE or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in building services design, or 5+ years' residential design experience combined with 5+ years' site experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience leading projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with solid understanding of UK design standards and regulations.
  • Strong communication and client‑facing skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Desirable

  • Previous line management experience.
  • Chartered Engineer (MCIBSE or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
