Vertical Recruitment are working with a respected Building Services and Sustainability consultancy based in Liverpool. With more than 30 years of experience, they deliver exceptional mechanical and electrical design across a wide range of projects from bespoke small scale work to major multi million–pound developments in the healthcare, education and commercial sectors. Why you?

We are looking for a Building Services Mechanical Engineer with a minimum HND in Mechanical Building Services. Experience within a Building Services Consultancy is preferred, although Project or Contract Managers from a Design and Build background will also be considered.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Be confident taking a project from concept to completion, using client brief documents and preparing proposal documents
  • Be able to develop this information into fully coordinated mechanical drawings and specifications for both tender and construction
  • Manage projects effectively and resolve technical and construction issues related to mechanical installations
  • Attend monthly design meetings, assess contractor valuations, carry out site inspections, witness testing of installations and produce snagging reports
  • Be computer literate. Knowledge of CYMAP and AutoCAD is beneficial but not essential as training can be provided
  • Be capable of designing systems including heating installations, air conditioning, mechanical ventilation, VRV or VRF installations, water services and sanitary ware
