Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

An established and steadily growing Building Services Design Consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its expanding team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead role in delivering innovative MEP design solutions across a range of sectors within the UK.
You will be responsible for managing small teams and leading projects , ensuring technical excellence, client satisfaction, and the smooth delivery of every stage of the design process.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver the mechanical/electrical design on multiple projects from concept to completion.

Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, supporting their professional development.

Produce and oversee design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules.

Conduct site surveys and attend client, design, and progress meetings.

Coordinate effectively with other disciplines to deliver integrated, practical solutions.

Support the management team with technical input, project planning, and resource coordination.

Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum 6 years experience in UK Building Services (Mechanical or Electrical).

Strong technical knowledge of building services design and relevant standards.

Qualified to HNC, HND, or Degree level in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.

Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech, and BIM processes is highly desirable.

Confident leading small teams and managing project deliverables.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Ability to work full-time from the Wigan office (MondayFriday, 8am4pm or 9am5pm).
