Summary Of The Role

  • The successful candidate will see a Paediatric MSK Physiotherapy caseload based out of our Chapel Allerton and/ or Pudsey clinics in Leeds.
  • There is the opportunity to perform triaging of MSK referrals into the service from the NHS, if this is also of interest.
  • Assessing and treating Paediatric Patients up to 18 years of age.
  • Responsibility for own case load within our clinics, working without direct supervision and within clearly defined operational policies and procedures.
  • Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working within the ethical framework provided by the CSP/HCPC rules of professional conduct.
  • Perform physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies; use clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition.
  • Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills e.g., manual physiotherapy techniques, patient education, exercise prescription, electrotherapy techniques and other alternative options as appropriate.
  • Formulate accurate prognoses and recommend best course of intervention, developing comprehensive treatment plans.

Candidates Shortlisted For Interview Will Have

  • BSc (hons) Physiotherapy degree
  • A minimum of 2 years Paediatric Physiotherapy experience
  • Current HCPC and CSP membership
  • Good communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Experience of conducting initial assessments, providing diagnosis, and prescribing management plans
  • Strong English language skills (verbal, reading and writing)
  • Good IT skills including word processing and experience with MS Office
