Every year, millions of journeys are made on our buses, helping people get to work, school, and the places that matter most.Arriva is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift PSV Mechanic to join our professional engineering team at our Hemel Hempstead depot.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with proven experience working on buses to play a key role in maintaining a modern and diverse fleet. The position involves planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault-finding, and reactive repairs in line with Arriva and DVSA standards.The role of a PSV Mechanic will involve:* Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.* Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability.* MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks.* Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA).* Attending roadside breakdowns.* Early/Day shift rota covering 5 out of 7 days Sunday to Saturday working with shift start patterns Day Shift: 8:30am – 4.30pm, Late Shift 2:00pm – 10:00pm Requirements of a PSV Mechanic:* Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation).* A full UK driving licence (6 points or less).* Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical.* APPLY NOW to join the Arriva team to help deliver our vision of providing clean, sustainable and reliable transport services to our customers for a greener future.
