Responsibilities

  • You will lead and coordinate the Homecare service across the Trust, overseeing operational and staff management responsibilities with oversight from the Pharmacy Team Manager.
  • Work collaboratively to develop new services and review existing homecare service specifications.
  • Liaise with homecare providers and procurement to resolve payment and pricing issues.
  • Ensure regular quality and financial reporting, audits, and performance reviews.
  • You will participate in staff recruitment, induction, appraisals, training, and manage performance issues in line with Trust HR procedures.
  • Lead continuous improvement through audit, governance, risk assessment, SOP development, and patient/service user feedback.
  • Promote excellent customer service, effective communication, and a positive learning environment.
  • You will be professionally and managerially responsible for Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants working within Homecare services.
  • You will assist the Team Manager Homecare Services with the delivery, development, and monitoring of Homecare medicines services, working proactively and innovatively to meet organisational goals.
  • This role includes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, strategic development, financial oversight, and direct service improvement.
  • You will ensure compliance with professional, legal, and quality standards to support excellent patient care.

Qualifications

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified registered pharmacy technician, with previous experience in a senior supervisory position, who is able to take a pro‑active approach and willing to take a lead in the development of the pharmacy service.
