HGV Vehicle Mechanic – Rare Chance to Work on Specialist Airport Equipment!

This is an exciting chance for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to work hands-on with specialist Ground Service Equipment (GSE) at one of the UK’s busiest airports.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Level 3 Qualified in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair HGV Mechanic/ HGV Technician to join a growing team at Heathrow Airport. Working as a mechanic, you will be responsible for the servicing of all ground equipment airside. Working on ground service equipment, including towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators, and other specialist vehicles. Using your mechanical expertise, you will diagnose faults and carry out repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment on-site.

HGV Mechanic/ HGV Technician Responsibilities and Duties

  • Servicing, maintenance, and repair of GSE Equipment

  • Complete all paperwork to a high standard.

  • Providing a best-in-class customer experience for our business customers

  • Comply with H+S Legislation

  • Liaise with internal customers.

  • Assist in carrying out all vehicle mechanical and electrical PPM (Planned and Preventative Maintenance) in line with set schedules
