Job Overview

We’re looking for a versatile, hands‑on tradesperson skilled across mechanical fitting, welding, pipe fitting, and metal fabrication. You’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and fabricating equipment within industrial and combustion environments.


What You’ll Do
Mechanical Fitting

  • Install, service, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Align, fit, and assemble components using hand and power tools.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system servicing.

Welding

  • Carry out MIG, TIG, and stick welding (coded welding preferred).
  • Fabricate and join metal components to specification.
  • Interpret welding symbols and drawings, ensuring high‑quality workmanship.
  • Install, maintain, and repair piping systems.
  • Work from piping diagrams and isometric drawings.
  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes; install valves and fittings.
  • Conduct pressure and leak tests (Gas Safe qualification preferred).

Fabrication

  • Produce metal structures and components from raw materials.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials to precise tolerances.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in industrial or commercial settings.
  • Completed apprenticeship or equivalent trade experience (mechanical, welding, pipe fitting, or fabrication).
  • Coded welding certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Forklift and first aid certifications (advantageous).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
  • Cross‑trained in multiple disciplines (advantageous).
  • Sound knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • Self‑motivated, safety‑focused, and quality‑driven.

Working Conditions

  • May require shift work, overtime, and travel to job sites.
  • Must be comfortable working in varied conditions (heat, noise, confined spaces).
  • Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
