Role Summary:

To provide a leading Occupational Health Physiotherapy Service to clients with the aim of early return to work. This involves a positive bio-psychosocial approach combining functional assessment with evidence-based treatment which is underpinned with excellent clinical care. The role will provide the following services on a remote basis; triage phone calls, supported self-management, functional restoration programmes, DSE & Workplace assessments.

The role will require you to provide occupational health services across two different clients within the North East. The post holder must be able to cover onsite working two days per week in Darlington working the hours 08:30 - 16:30. The other three days you will be supporting a separate client completing two days onsite, working the hours 1pm-9pm and one home working day 08:30-16:30. You will be completing a mixture of occupational health assessments, fitness to work reports, and follow up reviews across both onsite and home working days. The post holder must hold a driver's license and have access to a vehicle.

Monday - Onsite Darlington 08:30am-16:30pm

Tuesday - Onsite Darlington 08:30am-16:30pm

Wednesday - Onsite Gateshead 1pm-9pm

Thursday - Onsite Gateshead 1pm-9pm

Friday - Home Working 08:30am-16:30pm

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate, detailed, and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees on a remote or face-to-face basis.
• Identify, assess, and advise on any workplace hazards or contributing factors to Musculoskeletal disorders.
• Conduct workplace assessments such as DSE or work-based tasks as and when required and provide advice and recommendations as appropriate.
• Always maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
• Deliver effective evidence-based rehabilitation that adheres to national clinical standards.
• Utilise a bio-psychosocial approach combined with functional assessment to address barriers to work and inform robust work recommendations.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required for the Role:

• Clinical Physiotherapy Qualification.
• Full Member of the CSP & Registered member of HCPC is essential.
• Minimum of 18 months experience post registration
• Post-graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics.
• Previous experience or an interest in Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
• Experience of providing functional assessment and fitness for work advice.
• Driver license & access to a vehicle.
