Mobile Mechanical Engineer role at Equans UK & Ireland – permanent, full-time position based across the Midlands with an on-call rota. 40 hours per week. Competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

This role is on a mobile basis across Stoke.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repair of heating/hot water systems and general plumbing
  • Excellent fault finding and diagnosis skills
  • Carry out installation work and complete appropriate certification
  • Basic knowledge in building fabric repairs
  • Ensure plant faults and defects are remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order, in accordance with delegated authority or client requirements
  • Ensure suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance and reactive works; provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works
  • Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessment (POWRA) before starting work and note safety concerns using the AIMS system
  • Attend site in response to breakdowns or failures outside normal working hours (call-outs) as part of the regional on-call rota

Who you are
  • Recognised industry qualification required; previous experience essential
  • Plumbing qualifications essential; Gas Safe qualifications desirable
  • C&G Level 3 Plumbing
  • Trade-qualified Combustion Engineer with relevant post-apprenticeship experience desirable
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Legionella awareness (preferable) with training; Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential)
  • MEWP Licence and first aid training are desirable
  • DBS Enhanced check may apply; ability to pass is essential
