  • A competitive base
    salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings of up to £55,000 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable)

  • A guaranteed overtime
    option to increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime
    and bonus opportunities

  • 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:00 am
    to 4:30 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.




As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.


We’ll equip you for success from day one — with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.

  •  You're someone who gets people. This isn’t just spanners and engines—our mechanics are out there on driveways, chatting with customers, giving advice, and representing the RAC with pride. What you’ll need:



  •  Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years' hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles
  • A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
