As a Mechanical Technician Operative you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our production lines. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of technical and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Line set up: Prepare and set up production lines for operation, ensuring all equipment is correctly installed and ready for operation
  • Setting adjustments: Make necessary adjustments to equipment settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency
  • Filling checks and adjustments: Perform routine checks and adjustments on filling machines to ensure accurate product filling
  • Weigh scale tolerances and checks: Regularly check and calibrate weigh scales to ensure compliance with specified tolerances and standards
  • Removal of parts: Disassemble parts to prepare for cleaning, as required
  • Reassembly of parts: Reassemble cleaned parts, ensuring they are correctly fitted and fully functional
  • Video jet ink setup: Set up video jet ink printing equipment for product labelling
  • Daily/Visual PPM’s: Conduct daily and visual maintenance checks to identify and address potential issues
  • Equipment maintenance: Maintain production room equipment not included in PPM schedule (i.e chairs, trolleys, cabinets, and barriers)
  • Pump set up and purging: Set up and purge pumps to ensure they are ready for production use
  • Line support: Assisting the effective and efficient running of all production lines where required, providing technical support and troubleshooting in product quality and production efficiency

Requirements:

  • Mechanical background
  • Experience of GMP working environment
  • Experience of production/manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
