Mechanical Technician

Completion of planned and reactive maintenance tasks on building and production equipment.

• 
  
• Ensure routine maintenance is carried out on all buildings, plant, and production equipment.
  
• Work as a member of a two-person team on the night shift.
  
• Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical equipment.
  
• Adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments to maintain safe working practices.
  
• Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE and client staff.
  
• Maintain logbooks, complete shift hand‑over, and update client reporting accurately.
  
• Work overtime as required with a flexible attitude.
  
• Identify and report potential hazards.
  

• 
  
• A written and spoken English, mathematics, and IT skills.
  
• Full UK driving licence.
  
• Experience across multiple disciplines (electric, fabrication, water hygiene, painting, carpentry) is desirable.
  
• Comprehensive mechanical experience with reactive and planned preventive maintenance; experience with cranes and ability to work at height.
  
• Sound understanding of health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
  
• Ability to learn and develop technical knowledge and understanding of local organisational systems and processes.
  
• Excellent fault‑finding skills.
  
• Committed to excellent customer service.
  
• Calm under pressure, organisational and planning skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  
• Formal H&S training, legionella awareness, IPAF training are advantageous.
