We are hiring UK based Mechanical TA's for regular contract work starting in 2026. We require experienced TA's with experience working on Steam Turbines.


Purpose

The Senior lead Mechanical Technical Advisor serves as the highest-level on technical authority, providing strategic advisory, expert consultation and decision support for Mechanical Scope of works. This role focuses on technical governance, risk assessment, and high -level engineering guidance.


Key Attributes

  • Exceptional knowledge of the detailed operation principles of the mechanical equipment used in the Power Plant.
  • Exceptional ability to carry out mechanical set-up works, alignments, bolting and controlled fastenings, maintenance and repairs, trouble shooting and rectification work.
  • To work as part of a team that collectively will carry out the Mechanical Works associated with the common goal.
  • Ability to follow instruction and thereafter, to use own initiative to complete required tasks.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Customer focused.
  • Strong written and verbal communication at all levels.
  • Capable of delivering results in a diverse, ever changing environment.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a matrix organization.


Scope

  • To form an integral part of the mechanical commissioning team at site to deliver the requirements of the project specific requirements and scope of work and in line with the project schedule.


Principal Working Relationships

  • Reports on a daily and weekly basis directly to the Mechanical Lead and/or Mechanical System Owners to deliver the functional requirements.
  • Direct working relationship, within the Mechanical Team.
  • Direct working relationship with the Project commissioning team members, including System Owners/Leads, HSSE Teams, TOP Teams and Senior Leadership teams.


Responsibilities under the Quality Management System (QMS)

· As an Employee you are responsible for complying with the process requirements associated with your role and reporting any deviations from the applicable procedures to the Process Manager or the Process Owner.
