Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £45,000

M-F Days

Commutable- Hayward Heath, Burgess Hill, Crawley

We are currently recruiting for a qualified Mechanical Maintenance engineer to join a world class manufacturing facility based in West Sussex. This is a very large industrial factory who are seeking a mechanical maintenance technician on a permanent basis. The mechanical maintenance engineer will be involved in all sites planned and reactive maintenance including project work such as machinery installations and commissioning. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanical maintenance engineer to join a very well-established company who are offering a long-term career. The mechanical maintenance engineer will need to be able to weld, fabricate, stripdown and work on lathes and mills. You will be in a team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers and will be the "go-to" mechanical engineer, you will need to have a great attitude, be flexible to work overtime on Saturdays and want to grow with the business.

Skills required for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Engineering Qualification
  • Mechanical experience working with Hydraulics systems, Pneumatics, Gearboxes, Belts, Bearings, Chains, Welding, Fabricating etc
  • Experience working with Heavy Industrial Machinery
  • Open to Ex forces, navy, recycling, manufacturing, FMCG, Brick, Food etc
  • Mechanical hands-on experience
  • Proactive attitude and willing to learn new skills
  • Must be happy to work overtime
