A leading precision engineering and manufacturing company in Leicester is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced CNC and specialist machinery in a fast-paced, high-quality engineering environment.
The Role

Youll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of CNC and specialist production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
Key duties include:
Providing hands-on mechanical maintenance to CNC and plant equipment.

Fault-finding and repairing gearboxes, bearings, pumps, shafts, tanks, and drive chains .

Carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance across multiple production lines.

Assisting with major refurbishments and improvement projects.

PLC fault-finding and interrogation (Fanuc & Siemens).

Working collaboratively with production teams to prioritise and resolve issues quickly.

Adhering to strict Health & Safety and compliance standards at all times.

What Youll Need

HNC / NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

Minimum 3 years experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment.

Strong background in CNC machinery fault-finding and repair .

Working knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens control systems .

A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

A flexible attitude

must be open to working across multiple sites in Leicester when required.
