Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a days based role? Working a 4 on 4 off days pattern, at this paper mill in Leicester you will be part of the reliability team ensuring that all PPM work is completed to the highest standards. We are looking for a proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Ideally you will come from a medium to heavy industry background, working to a robust maintenance schedule to help minimise downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a Mechanical engineering service to the production team to achieve minimal downtime
  • Proactive for carrying out planned maintenance duties
  • Be commercially aware of budgets to ensure there is the right amount of spares
  • Look at ways to continuously improve efficiencies and reduce downtime
  • Collect and compile all data as requested
  • Encourage and motivate trainee fitters and apprentices and offer assistance
  • Maintain and work in a safe manner, highlighting any safety concerns
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a level three Mechanical engineering qualification
  • Experience within a manufacturing maintenance department
  • Heavy to medium industry
  • Some PLC knowledge would be an advantage
